  2. Hi Giovanni,I’d like you to hear my opinion W/ out being prejudice about all this technology! first of all Yes, technology has it good points and definitely its bad,you want to talk about addiction, As soon as we open our eyes in the morning temptation is there! Thanks to all the convinacies we have. Yes all of it is all good but if you ask me, I think we went to far a head of our selves.First of all honey the average fa doesn’t even acknowledge each-other because it. Use to be that a husband couldn’t give his fa quality time because he had to work over time! well now men and woman work over time, so now were dose this lead us to, children that are parent-less.Well that’s OK because we have access to a computer leading us to an opar, and of cause we trust this complete stranger in our home because we have the convenience of knowing her life history from the good old lap top. Honey you pick up a pone today, and god only knows by the time you finish that pone call between pressing numbers, being cut off, from our dependable cell pone, or waiting for someone to talk to you that doesn’t even speak english Well.I guess i don’t have to tell you were the rest will lead to! Giovanni i know you where bless w/ a high IQ and I’m sure you have made a difference in this world honey, but the fact is I’m more afraid everytime some one comes up w/ a bright idea about technology, then i am of cancer. Guess what, I believe this is what causes all our stress…. Well you may not fb me again, but you must know by now that if you ask for my opinion I’m certainly not going to be shy about it.. SO PLEASE DON’T GET EVRYONE IN A STATE OF PANIC! BECAUSE I GET SUCH PLEASURE FB-ING U AND I Promise I WON’T GET ADICTED:-). Gigi

  3. Hey Gigi

I am with you on this. Reason why I started this blog was to explore the our “physical, intellectual and emotional limits.” Happy I am provoking a few people — like you — to talk about these things. :) It’s a healthy conversation.

  4. I can’t remember how my husband and I spend our spare time before myspace, fb, cellphones etc..The other day we went out to dinner, my husband could not wait to get out of there so he can go back home and play games on his computer. While at dinner he was texting his sister, son letting them know he just wants to get back home. When we finally got home he went on the comp. to play poker and mafia wars. I could not get his attention and so feed up with technology, I went on my cell to fb.. Tech is great but what will happen to quality family time.

  5. Okay, Here’s my take. I personnally Love most of the technological advances that we’ve made. First being able to know where my kids are and that they’re safe, hence cell phones. Texting if I’m in a quiet place and again if my kids need to get picked up. HDTV, Love it and rewinding and taping things that I’ve missed or Love to watch. I think some kids may play way too many games but that falls under parenting. It’s like anything else great in moderation. So me and my sisters had to use our imagination more than kids today and it was great for us but now technology challenges kids to figure things out that are alot more sophisticated then what we could have comprehended back in the day. There is such thing as too much of anything. My qualm is when we use technology in place of doing something physical. The thing about my family is that we never had a sit at the dinner table together type of family and it worked for us because we all work different hours and the head of our household Pat,doesn’t get home until 10:00 PM. We do go out to dinner on the weekends and catch up on the weeks happenings. Technology is NOT Allowed to dinner with us. Giovanni Technology may induce laziness but so do all these damn Drive thru’s that we all use. Even myself. Guilty as charged.

  9. Beverly, I think you have some great input about tec but, I’m just saying that were way ahead of ourselves!everytime we start to learn something about these darn computers something else is introduce to us!Not only has it become frustrating but it’s become very costly ! haven’t you heard the saying! that no longer will work w/ your computer!before you know it your spending all this money on adaptors, which boils down to you are now buying other one. and you still can’t fig-out the darn thing… i just love w hearing these expressions! when I’m having a problem w/ my hp lap top, and i ask some one for help, and after spending so much time they’ll tell me oh don’t worry, the computer is very sensitive,:-O What the heck are they talking about a computer or a human being…Again everyone is a computer expert, but no one knows what the heck their doing. luv ya Gigi
